Tue 29th Jul 2014 vs. Appleton (A) @ Appleton

Match report

IVCC batted first (as most of the team hadn't shown up yet). Ellis made a strong start, making 31 with some lusty blows, well supported by Pederson, Bibb and then Hartley. Watts then came to the wicket and hit a rapid 31 including some monstrous blows to the fence before retiring not out on 31. IVCC finished on 138 for 8 after 20 overs.

Appleton made a strong start to the reply with one of their openers racing to the 30 mark before retiring. Bibb and Smith bowled well in the middle of the innings before Pederson came on to nip out two in two balls and put IVCC in the mix. With the run rate slowing, an IVCC victory looked on the cards, but Appleton managed to hit a four off the last ball to snatch the win.
