Tue 18th Aug 2015 vs. Isis (A) @ Queen's College

Match report

We played a 15-over game because it was dark. Bill won the toss and chose to bat first (a wise choice). IVCC started strongly with Olly looking good, including a superb lofted off drive from the first ball of the match, but soon faltered and regularly lost wickets as they stumbled to their lowest ever total of 71, all out in 12 overs. Some say there was a run out incident involving Garr and the skipper, but I couldn't possibly comment.

IVCC's bowlers then secured the win with 15 overs of miserly bowling. Ollie Evans and Dan Hartley got us off to a great start with only 15 runs conceded off the first 6 overs, albeit with only one wicket taken (a catch by Olly Ross from Dan's bowling). Olly replaced his namesake from the top end and bowled well to take 3 for 12 from his allotted overs. Bill finished up from the pavilion end and took a wicket from the last ball of the match to leave Isis some way short of their target on 58 for 6. Between times, Dicky Tyler bamboozled the batsmen with some of his trademark grenades, and Garr turned his arm over for one over and took a wicket, a neat catch behind by Cav.

Well done all.
