There was once a dream that was IVCC. You could only whisper it. Anything more than a whisper and it would vanish... it was so fragile. And we feared that it will not survive the 2013 winter. But survive it did, and so the gentlemen players got together in a backstreet boozer in OX4 and established Iffley Village Cricket Club in 2014. With the ethos behind the club being to play friendly 40-over and 20-over cricket matches against like-minded clubs around the country, our focus is as much on playing competitive cricket as it is enjoying a beer with the opposition after the game, and with the journey being far more important than the result.
If you want to get in touch with us for any reason, please email committee@ivcc.co.uk. We are also on Twitter @IffleyVillageCC.
Big congratulations to Tim Morton, who became IVCC's first ever century-maker in the game against Wantage & Grove on 5th June. Tim smashed 143 runs in his record-breaking innings, a knock which included twelves maximums and four lost balls. Well played that man! The website stats page has been updated to incorporate a centurions section.

Regrettably, the weather claimed our second & third fixtures of the season vs Long Compton and Isis respectively. Please keep your fingers crossed for Sunday's fixture away at Appleton. This will be the fourth time that IVCC have played the lovely folk from Appleton & Eaton - the hosts have had the better of us on 2 occasions, with just the 1 Village victory.
The provisional IVCC XI for this game is:
Beard, Berry, Cable-Alexander, Cavanagh (wk), Ellis, Gifford, Ross (cpt), Troth, Tyler, Watkins, Winter, with Smith as 12th man/water-boy/scorer/cheerleader.
IVCC's 2016 season kicked off yesterday with a victory at Abingdon Vale. The matches come thick and fast now, with the Villagers due to visit Long Compton on Sunday. Keep an eye on the Matches page for more info!
