Iffley Village Cricket Club

Welcome to the website of IVCC, a social cricket club based in Oxford.

There was once a dream that was IVCC. You could only whisper it. Anything more than a whisper and it would vanish... it was so fragile. And we feared that it will not survive the 2013 winter. But survive it did, and so the gentlemen players got together in a backstreet boozer in OX4 and established Iffley Village Cricket Club in 2014. With the ethos behind the club being to play friendly 40-over and 20-over cricket matches against like-minded clubs around the country, our focus is as much on playing competitive cricket as it is enjoying a beer with the opposition after the game, and with the journey being far more important than the result.

If you want to get in touch with us for any reason, please email committee@ivcc.co.uk. We are also on Twitter @IffleyVillageCC.

Fitting season finale against Sibcliffe!

The season was rounded off in perfect style yesterday with a fine win against Sibcliffe at Great & Little Tew CC. With the late summer sun beaming down, having taken ten wickets to restrict Sibcliffe to 174, IVCC chased down the total for the loss of only two wickets. A great game played in exactly the right way!

IVCC triumph over Isis at Queen's

A strong IVCC bowling performance saw the Village beat Isis by 13 runs in a hard fought encounter at Queen's College Sports Ground last night. With the evenings drawing in, the team contested a 15 over thrash...of which IVCC only needed 12 before being bowled out for 71. However, some fine bowling restricted Isis to 58-6 from their 15 overs.
